A lot of people instantly and only think abroad when it comes to leisure and tourism but they don’t realise that tourism can also take place in the same country you are in. Why? Basically, tourism means touring something and I’m sure there are thousands of places in your own country which you haven’t visited and which many people visit from other countries other than your own.

An official PR statement has been released stating that ‘Cheryl Cole is separating from her husband Ashley Cole’. This comes after weeks of speculation and rumours that Ashley Cole has cheated on his wife with a string of affairs. Cheryl has asked the media to respect her privacy at this difficult time.

The couple had been together since 2004 and married in July 2006. In 2008 Ashley was under suspicion of having an affair with a hair dresser and the couple had split for while then aswell. BBC Radio One is to launch an official mid week chart update. Beginning on 10th March the half an hour mid week show will provide the latest chart update which up until now was only issued to members of the industry and never broadcast live.

This will provide so much of better picture for the race for the number one spot. Fans will have so much more of an insight when it comes to the music charts. The show will air every Wednesday from 3:30pm to 4pm. This is a strange time to air the considering the number of listeners they would get at these times. A number of artists have commented negatively regarding this as they believe it takes the element of surprise away.

P Diddy, Pharrell Williams and Queen Latifah hosted a two hour concert in aid of the Haiti quake. The concert titled SOS (Saving Ourselves) was broadcast from live from Miami. Guest stars will include Mary J Blige, Justin Bieber and Monica. This will be broadcast on the likes MTV and EH1.

The stars hope to raise considerable amounts of money for the people of Haiti via organisations like Children’s safe drinking water and Yele Haiti. Similar events have been organised by major American stars. George Clooney hosted The Hope for Haiti now telethon and gig. The event raised over £40 million.

Well, talk about building the suspense! There aren’t many things that fans would wait so long for, but tickets selling out with 24hours of going on sale is a testament to the bands continuing popularity and loyal fan base.

This is the bands first festival gig in 25 years (wow! hope they practice hard to get it right!), and is Glastonbury’s 40th anniversary.Glastonbury iss one of the biggest, best and most loved festivals in the UK, and to play here really is an honour – to know that this band have been asked to perform for the last quarter of a century shows how great they are.

I have no idea who half of them are, or how many there are (think there were only 6 at last count, but wasn’t there about 40 to start with?!), and there music is not exactly the everlasting tunes our kids will be humming along to in a generation or so’s time, but they’re ok. Mr Reg Walker, an industry insider who was speaking at the UK Festival Awards and Conference in London on Thursday, said that the thousands of fake tickets and wrist bands are likely to be in circulation next summer. He believes that friminals even had “test runs” this year to ensure that their mercandise would get through the scrutiny of the festival security.

Its a scary notion because as a none-expert in tickets, how does Joe Public tell the fake from the real thing? And what kind of come back do we have when buying these things online? Not a lot I would imagine.
