Mid Week Music Charts

: Kieran BBC Radio One is to launch an official mid week chart update. Beginning on 10th March the half an hour mid week show will provide the latest chart update which up until now was only issued to members of the industry and never broadcast live.
This will provide so much of better picture for the race for the number one spot. Fans will have so much more of an insight when it comes to the music charts. The show will air every Wednesday from 3:30pm to 4pm. This is a strange time to air the considering the number of listeners they would get at these times. A number of artists have commented negatively regarding this as they believe it takes the element of surprise away.
