For companies to take advantage of the online power of the internet they need to be able to create some kind of control around the sites and in return generate cash for the music people are listening to. As a result of this the market has grown but due to piracy and ‘free’ music being available the industry has taken a hit on the finances. Nokia was one of the first companies to take advantage of the music opportunities on line. They aimed to allow there users to take advantage of sharing but at the same time allowing a return for the owners.

Lot’s of people consider lots of different places to be the best tourism location? The opinion of many people is useless and I mean totally useless. Why to I say this? Because most people mention the last place they visited whether they liked it or not. Now that in my opinion is totally useless.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand, what is the best tourism location? The basic answer is – there isn’t one. Why? Every person has a different perception to enjoyment and so every person’s ideal tourism location will be different.

Leona Lewis has been noted to admit that she went skinny dipping in Portugal purely to cheer up one of her friends. An official PR statement has been released stating that ‘Cheryl Cole is separating from her husband Ashley Cole’. This comes after weeks of speculation and rumours that Ashley Cole has cheated on his wife with a string of affairs. Cheryl has asked the media to respect her privacy at this difficult time.

The couple had been together since 2004 and married in July 2006. In 2008 Ashley was under suspicion of having an affair with a hair dresser and the couple had split for while then aswell. Recently Cheryl has been seen on dates with Derek Hough a dancer. Cheryl Cole is well known for the hit single ‘Fight for this Love’.

BBC Radio One is to launch an official mid week chart update. Beginning on 10th March the half an hour mid week show will provide the latest chart update which up until now was only issued to members of the industry and never broadcast live.

This will provide so much of better picture for the race for the number one spot. Fans will have so much more of an insight when it comes to the music charts. The show will air every Wednesday from 3:30pm to 4pm. This is a strange time to air the considering the number of listeners they would get at these times. A number of artists have commented negatively regarding this as they believe it takes the element of surprise away.

With 10 nominations in the bag already Beyonce was having a great day already but winning six prizes topped it off. She was awarded prizes for song of the year and best R&B song. Other winners included:

P Diddy, Pharrell Williams and Queen Latifah hosted a two hour concert in aid of the Haiti quake. The concert titled SOS (Saving Ourselves) was broadcast from live from Miami. Guest stars will include Mary J Blige, Justin Bieber and Monica. This will be broadcast on the likes MTV and EH1.

The stars hope to raise considerable amounts of money for the people of Haiti via organisations like Children’s safe drinking water and Yele Haiti. Similar events have been organised by major American stars. George Clooney hosted The Hope for Haiti now telethon and gig. The event raised over £40 million.

I have not been a big X-Factor fan, I prefer Strictly for my Saturday nights in, but on a night in at a friend’s this weekend, I got made to watch it.

Oh dear. I was not impressed!

I appreciate that with this type of competition, the artists cannot do their own music yet, but oh dear. It is rare that shows like this find a unique and new act, let alone a new voice, because they impose such strict guidelines on what they have to do.

And I do not think an artist can be unique and themselves, when they are forced to conform. So, as far as I can see, these shows simply regurgitate the same old stuff, year in year out.

Joe McEldery- Kicked off the evening with Journey and don’t stop believing. Although Joe is not a rocker he was absolutely brilliant and shows he is versatile!

Lucie Jones- WOW lucie was good and like Joe is versatile and can do something other than ballards!

Danyl Johnson- Not his usual best, he sang Aerosmith-I don’t want to miss a thing. Think he needs to show his determination without cockyness and he will do well!

Lloyd Daniels- Rocked out Katy Perrys- I kissed a Girl and was actually quite good- he just needs to loosen up 0n stage.

Stacey Solomon- Sang a fantastic rendition of Keane- She really made it her own.

Jamie Archer- Get your rocks off- well he certainly did that- Go Jamie Afro!

Rachel Adedeji- This girl is getting better and better since being saved- sang Mary J & U2 and actually done it some justice- well done!

John & Edward- oh my god- they destroyed Fives rendition of Queens, We will Rock You. I suppose the entertainment factor was there but there was defiantly not the Xfactor.

Olly Murs Closed the show with a Beatles classic. I thought he was fantastic and its going to be him and Joe definitely in the final!

Great night, all great performances apart from the usual one we expect (jedward), But who’s going to go? Its so tough so early! Come on JOE!
